Homeward

The trip countdown. Put in when the trip starts and when you go home, and it counts down in weeks, days, hours and seconds, with a picture that cheers up as the days go by.

  • Sleeps to go, "6 and a wake-up", over the hump, single digits
  • Fourteen pictures, from a sad face to a red deck turning green
  • A daily line: Stoic, Eastern, sea sayings or offshore humour
  • Four looks: 1995, Modern, Slick and Future
  • The Rumour Machine: who, what, when, and the likely source (always the galley)
  • Don't forget: Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthdays and anniversaries that fall while you're away, with an order-by date
  • Share your dates so family at home count down with you

Pizza Day

The countdown to Saturday pizza night, with a pizza that builds itself a slice a day. Sunday is allowed. Highly unorthodox, frowned upon, but allowed.

  • "Over the pizza hump", "Pizza eve", "IT'S PIZZA DAY"
  • The Sunday chocolate ration, logged. Not dishing out is criminal.
  • Counts the pizza nights left this trip if you use Homeward
